Homewood-Flossmoor High School Placed on Lockdown After Firearm and Ammunition Found

FLOSSMOOR, Ill. — Homewood-Flossmoor Community High School was placed on lockdown Friday after a firearm and ammunition were discovered in a hallway following a fight involving students, according to officials.
A significant police presence was reported at the campus located at 999 Kedzie Avenue as officers responded to the scene and secured the building. The lockdown was put in place as a precaution to ensure the safety of students and staff while authorities investigated.
