OKC Police Investigate Downtown Double Shooting That Killed Hotel Employee

OKLAHOMA CITY, Police are investigating a double shooting that occurred downtown early Sunday morning, leaving one hotel employee dead and another injured, authorities said.
Oklahoma City police said officers were called to the area of North Broadway Avenue and West Sheridan Avenue just after 2:30 a.m. following reports of gunfire. Investigators said two hotel employees were shot during the incident.
Police stated that one of the employees died from their injuries, while the second employee was wounded but is expected to survive.
According to investigators, the shooting stemmed from a disturbance involving hotel guests. Police said hotel staff asked several guests to leave the property, which led to a confrontation outside the hotel. During the altercation, one of the guests allegedly fired multiple shots before fleeing the scene.
Officers later located a suspect at a nearby parking garage near Park Avenue and North Hudson Avenue. Police said the suspect was also injured and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released details regarding the severity of the suspect’s injuries.
As of Sunday, police had not confirmed whether they are searching for additional suspects. The identities of the victims have not been released.
The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue to gather information and determine the circumstances surrounding the downtown shooting.
