Wichita Falls Memorial High School Mourns the Loss of Teacher Brad Boddy After Traffic Accident
The Wichita Falls community is mourning the loss of Brad Boddy, a longtime educator and respected resident, who died following a traffic accident on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025.
According to the Wichita Falls Police Department, officers responded around 6:18 p.m. to a vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash in the 6700 block of Southwest Parkway. Investigators stated that a vehicle traveling northbound in the left lane did not see Mr. Boddy as he was crossing the roadway from east to west, and he was struck during the incident.
Emergency responders transported Mr. Boddy to United Regional Health Care System on 11th Street, where he received medical treatment. Despite the efforts of hospital staff, he later died from his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Brad Boddy was 69 years old at the time of his passing. He served as a special education teacher at Wichita Falls Memorial High School, where he was widely recognized for his compassion, patience, and dedication to his students. Those who worked alongside him described him as an educator who consistently advocated for students and provided support to those who needed it most.
In a statement released by the Wichita Falls Independent School District, officials expressed deep sadness over the loss. The district described Mr. Boddy as a devoted teacher who made a lasting impact on both students and colleagues. WFISD also shared its condolences with his family, friends, and the Memorial High School community.
