SLIDELL, La. — The Slidell community is grieving after a tragic incident early Tuesday morning resulted in the passing of 5-year-old Carson Lawson. Family members, neighbors, and local officials have expressed deep sorrow as they continue to process the heartbreaking loss.
According to information released by the Slidell Police Department, Carson was in his driveway around 7:00 a.m., preparing for the school day, when he was struck by a vehicle backing out from the property.
