Two Adults Shot in Daycare Shooting in Granada Hills, Armed Suspect Apprehended by Police

According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), officers responded to a report of a shooting around 12:30 p.m. at a residence located in the 17300 block of Firma Court.

The home was operating as a licensed daycare facility at the time of the incident.
Emergency medical personnel from the Los Angeles Fire Department treated two adult female victims at the scene.
One woman sustained a gunshot wound to the arm, while the other was shot in the back.
Both were transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Their current conditions have not been released.
LAPD officers quickly secured the scene and confirmed that all 17 children present inside the daycare were unharmed and safely accounted for.
Authorities emphasized that none of the children were injured or directly involved in the shooting.
The suspect, who fled the scene immediately after the incident, was located and taken into custody by police in the area of Balboa Boulevard and Sherman Way.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation, and officials have not yet disclosed the relationship between the suspect and the victims.
Images from the scene showed a heavy police presence and two victims being transported on gurneys.
The neighborhood was temporarily closed off as law enforcement processed the scene and ensured the safety of nearby residents.
